This is our single rod, non-locking fly rod carrier system with a door held closed by a bungee loop. You'll receive the 3D printed reel box, and an aero nose cone in matching color. You supply the tube.
The single carriers are offered in two different versions:
Original
Designed to work with 2" Schedule 80 PVC Conduit. If you're planning on building a half-length system, or if you have a rack that can support a full-length pipe through most of its length, this is the most affordable way to go. PVC can be a bit floppy in big cantilevers.
Deluxe - EMT
This is our newer design, and a great upgrade. It's designed around 1.5" EMT steel conduit available at any home improvement store for around $40. EMT has a smaller profile and is far more rigid than PVC. To protect your rod inside the metal tube, there's an integrated PET braided sleeve that cradles your rod. The Deluxe kit is supplied with an epoxy packet to bond the plastic components to the metal conduit, and a T-10 driver to allow for the removal and reinstallation of the sleeve if needed.
Whichever you choose, the tube you need can be purchased at most any home improvement store, and assembly takes just a couple of minutes.

This is a great solution to a expensive problem.It worked out very nicely on top of my vehicle. Even with the hatchback it was okay to place it a little forward and out of the way.

Absolutely perfect solution to a silly problem. There’s zero reason a certain rod carrier that rhymes with shiver giver should cost 500+ bucks. And the other options where they should be priced are just flimsy. Didn’t have schedule 80 available near me so I used sch40. Reel end fit perfect. I just wrapped the male portion of the cap end in 1.75 filament and acetoned it on there. Made it fit perfect. Great product.
